Welcome to True Yoga SatyaPriya Monica is
a Kripalu and PremYoga certified Yoga Instructor and a member of the Kripalu Yoga Teacher's Association. SatyaPriya, meaning
"One who is devoted to Truth" was chosen by Monica when she became a Certified Kripalu and Prem Yoga Instructor.
She has also been involved with supporting women prenatally and during labor and birth for over 16 years and has been a Birth
Doula for more than 14 years having trained with the Association of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators. Satya
is also a Medical and Chiropractic Assistant and is very involved in natural and holistic health such as herbal remedies,
chiropractic care, aromatherapy and Ayurveda. Satya is an amazing teacher who thrives on serving and sharing her knowledge
with others. Her true passion is to see the lives of others change because of her support and knowledge. She offers classes
for Yogis of all levels as well as private yoga instruction to assist you in developing a yoga practice that is unique to
your needs. Also offered are in-depth workshops for those who are new to yoga. Snuggly nestled amongst the trees inside
her home where Lake Worth was once "country", True Yoga is a quiet, serene studio where one can come to find their
own Truth, the space where mind, body and spirit connect. This is true, natural, authentic yoga. What is
True Yoga? True Yoga teaches Kripalu and PremYoga which integrate a natural,
organic and authentic approach to the practice of Yoga.
Kripalu is a yoga practice with a compassionate approach
and emphasis on meditation, pranayama (breathing), physical healing, body intuition, flexibility, toning and strengthening and
spiritual transformation that is practiced not only on but off the mat as well as in daily life. In a Kripalu
class, each student learns to find their own level of practice by looking inward and finding their own true yoga. It
is not a competition and there is no goal but to just feel and be present within yourself. The classes usually begin
with breathing exercises and gentle stretches followed by a vigorous or slow series, depending on the class, of individual
poses and final relaxation. Some classes may also include light massage, aromatherapy, and/or poetry readings and handouts.
